OUR STORY

Stains are stories.

Hopefully worth it....

WHY SPILL THAT EXISTS

My earliest memories live in scent.

It has always felt like the purest form of time travel. That fascination became a hobby, and eventually took me to Grasse, the heart of fine perfumery, where I studied the art and science of fragrance.

As my world expanded, so did my awareness. The laundry aisle felt stuck in the past: harsh chemicals, forgettable scents, and products designed as if they belonged under a sink, hidden from view. Laundry had been reduced to something toxic, uninspired, and purely functional.

I saw an opportunity to create something better. Something that could turn laundry into a ritual of self-care without compromising on performance, scent, or planet-friendly formulas. I wanted products that smelled divine, worked beautifully, and looked like objects you’d actually want to keep in sight.

So, Spill That was born.

Our name says it all. It’s our mission: to celebrate a life well lived. It speaks to the literal spills of that life, but also to the stories behind them. A wink to spill the tea: confessing the adventure, sharing the juice, retelling last Friday night.

Every spill means something happened. Something exciting, reckless, tender, delicious, or worth remembering.

We create delicious-smelling, clean laundry care for people who believe a mess is worth the stories.
There’s a memory in every spill.
So go out. Live big. Spill tea. Roll in the grass. Jump in the water. Stay out late. We’ll take care of the clean slate.

PACKAGING

We chose kraft paper pouches over bottles.

The EU recycles about 41% of its plastic packaging. The Netherlands, one of Europe's best, sits around 45%. Most "recyclable" detergent bottles never get recycled — they're burned, shipped overseas, or landfilled.

Our 750 ml pouch uses around 70% less plastic per ml of detergent than a rigid bottle, and weighs roughly six times less — which cuts freight emissions on the way to your door. The trade-off is honest: the aluminium barrier keeps the formula stable and the fragrance intact without preservatives, but it isn't yet recyclable in mono-material streams. Once we have the scale, we want a fully biodegradable V2.

THE FORMULA

Perfume-grade fragrances, composed in Grasse by our in-house master perfumer.

Most laundry brands list five ingredients and stop. We publish every one — including allergens at the EU declarable threshold — and build the formula around what we leave out: no SLS or SLES, no optical brighteners, no dyes, no microcapsules, no substances identified as endocrine disruptors at ≥0.1% per supplier safety data sheets.

The fragrance is dosed at 1%, composed by Ingeborg of Perfume-ID — a master perfumer trained in Grasse, working between France and Amsterdam. Fine-fragrance materials, IFRA-compliant, no synthetic after-smell pretending to be "clean".
